Acceptable Use Policy
In short
- On Mia you only sell and publish what is legal, honest and yours (or that you have the right to use).
- Not allowed: illegal content, copyright infringement, scams, adult content, spam and harmful tools.
- Regulated professions (psychotherapy, medicine, law, financial advice) are allowed only with the authorisation the law requires.
- You can report illegal content to dsa@mia.store.
- When we take action, we tell you why, and you can appeal for free within 6 months.
1. Who this applies to
The rules below apply to everyone who uses Mia:
- creators, who build a page and sell or publish through Mia;
- buyers, who buy from creators or join their lists;
- visitors to mia.store and to creators’ pages.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. If you break it, you also break the Terms.
The rules cover everything you publish or send through Mia: pages, products, descriptions, images, videos, courses, emails, automated messages and any text made with the AI assistant.
2. The core rule
On Mia you only sell and publish what is legal, honest and yours, or that you have the right to use.
If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first at support@mia.store.
3. Illegal content
You may not publish, sell or share anything illegal through Mia. In particular:
- child sexual abuse material, in any form;
- terrorist content or content that supports terrorism;
- hate speech and incitement to violence or discrimination;
- counterfeit products;
- any other content banned by Romanian or European Union law.
4. Copyright and other rights
Only sell what you made yourself or have the right to sell. Not allowed:
- PLR (private label rights) products resold without a licence that allows it;
- pirated courses, books, films, music or software;
- templates, photos or materials copied from others;
- courses or programmes copied from someone else’s;
- using someone else’s trademarks, logos or name to suggest you are connected to them.
5. Scams and deceptive practices
- fake diplomas, certificates or qualifications, or ones you don’t hold;
- income guarantees (“make €10,000 a month”) and get-rich-quick schemes;
- pyramid schemes and MLM recruitment, where you earn mainly by bringing in other people;
- fake or made-up reviews, testimonials or results;
- fake countdown timers or “almost sold out” claims that aren’t true;
- paid endorsements you don’t label as advertising;
- any attempt to take someone’s money without delivering what you promised.
6. Adult content
Sexually explicit content and adult services are not allowed on Mia. This includes products, images, videos and links to such content.
7. Regulated goods and claims
- gambling, betting and lotteries;
- investment advice presented as personal recommendations, without the authorisation the law requires;
- claims that a product or method cures, treats or prevents disease;
- drugs and other controlled substances;
- weapons, ammunition and instructions for making them.
8. Harmful tools
- malicious software (malware, viruses, ransomware);
- phishing kits and phishing pages;
- publishing someone’s personal data so they get harassed (doxxing);
- apps that secretly track other people (stalkerware);
- any tool made to get around the security of other systems.
9. Spam and unsolicited messages
- Only email people who have given you their consent. Every email must have an easy way to unsubscribe.
- Don’t upload contact lists that were bought, rented or collected without consent.
- If you use automatic replies to Instagram comments and messages, use them only to reply to people who wrote to you, and follow Meta’s rules. Don’t use them for unsolicited mass messages.
- Don’t send payment links or offers to people who didn’t ask for them.
10. Other people’s privacy
- Don’t publish someone else’s personal data without a legal basis.
- Don’t publish images or recordings of other people without their consent, where the law requires it.
- Use your buyers’ data only for the purposes they gave it to you for, and follow the GDPR. More in our Privacy policy.
11. Stripe’s rules
Payments on Mia go through Stripe. So you can’t sell anything Stripe prohibits, even if it isn’t in the list above. Stripe’s list is here: Stripe restricted businesses.
12. Regulated professions
Psychotherapy, medical services, legal advice and financial or investment advice are allowed only if you hold the authorisation, licence or registration the law requires for them.
- State clearly on your page what qualification you hold and who granted it.
- If you don’t hold the authorisation, don’t present what you offer as a regulated service. For example, a coach without a licence to practise doesn’t offer psychotherapy.
- We may ask you for proof of your authorisation. If you can’t show it, we may remove the product from your page.
13. Being honest with buyers
- Describe your product accurately: what the buyer gets, in what format, for how long, and when and how they get it.
- Deliver what you promised, on time.
- Show correct prices and say clearly whether they include VAT or whether you are not VAT-registered.
- Have a clear refund policy that gives buyers at least the rights the law gives them. See Refunds and cancellation.
- Answer your buyers within a reasonable time.
14. Misusing the platform
- Don’t automatically extract data from Mia or from creators’ pages (scraping).
- Don’t get around your plan’s limits, technical limits or security measures.
- Don’t test Mia’s security without our agreement. If you found a vulnerability, write to security@mia.store and don’t exploit it.
- Don’t create more accounts to get around a suspension or another measure taken against you.
- Don’t use Mia to move money that has nothing to do with a real sale.
15. The AI assistant
The AI assistant in Mia is optional. What it writes are suggestions, not decisions.
- Read and check everything the assistant produces before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish.
- Don’t use the assistant to create content this policy prohibits.
- Don’t send it personal data it doesn’t need, especially sensitive data about other people.
16. How to report illegal content
If you see something on Mia you believe is illegal, write to dsa@mia.store. This address is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act (DSA).
So we can act quickly, please include (DSA art. 16):
- why you believe the content is illegal;
- the exact address (URL) where it is;
- your name and email address (not required for certain reports of child sexual abuse);
- a statement that, to the best of your knowledge, the information in your report is accurate and complete and that you are sending it in good faith.
We confirm we received it, review your report carefully and without undue delay, and tell you what we decided.
For other breaches of this policy that aren’t illegal, you can write to support@mia.store.
17. What we do when someone breaks the rules
We choose a measure that fits how serious the breach is. We usually start with the lightest step:
- we ask you to change the content or send you a warning;
- we take the product or content down from your page;
- we temporarily suspend the account or the ability to sell;
- we close the account.
We act immediately, without a prior warning, in cases of illegal content, fraud or an order from an authority.
18. We tell you why
When we restrict your content or account, we email you a statement of reasons: what we decided, why, which rule or law we rely on, and how you can appeal (DSA art. 17).
If you are a creator, the statement also follows Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 on platform-to-business relations (P2B). You get it before or at the moment the restriction or suspension takes effect.
We keep reports and moderation decisions for 6 years.
19. Notice before closing a creator account
If we decide to close a creator’s account entirely, we tell them at least 30 days in advance, together with the reasons.
We don’t give notice when (P2B Regulation, art. 4(4)):
- a law or an authority requires us to close the account immediately;
- the creator has broken the rules repeatedly;
- the case involves illegal content, fraud or a serious risk to others.
In these cases you still get the statement of reasons.
20. How to appeal a decision
If you disagree with one of our decisions, write to support@mia.store within 6 months of the decision. Tell us which decision you are appealing and why.
- Appeals are free.
- A person on our team reviews it, not just an automated system.
- We reply with our decision and the reasons for it. If you were right, we reverse the measure.
We are a small enterprise. The law doesn’t require us to run this appeals system (P2B Regulation art. 11 and DSA art. 20), but we offer it because it is fair. We are also open to mediation in good faith.
21. Repeated breaches
If we repeatedly receive valid reports about the same account, for example for copyright infringement, or if someone republishes content we have already taken down, we suspend or close the account.
